I figured I'd make a thread like we have at the other forum for any video game talk. You can make new threads for whatever if you want obviously, but jindred, MO, mork, and I (and occasionally a few others) just post all gaming stuff in our one VG thread.

We have a dozen or so gamers here. Most are split between Xbox One and PS4. Few PC and Wii U gamers scattered about.
I had a Wii U and custom built gaming PC, but I sold both of them. I have a PS4 that I haven't played in a good 2-3 months (my roommate uses it more than I do... mainly to watch movies). I'm pretty big into gaming (have been my whole life), but I just don't have a lot of spare time to devote to it like I did in the past.
Currently playing... not much of anything. Lots of unfinished games in my backlog (several that I haven't even started). Mainly into FPS and RPGs. Last few things I played are Far Cry 4, Wolfenstein New Order, TLOU, and some CoD Blops 3.
Looking forward to Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn.
Between this and Danganonpa, I can already tell you're going to be my PS Vita buddy. I'm pretty psyched that there's another person who recognizes the greatness of that system.
I'm really looking to Hyper Light Drifter, myself. It's getting a PS4 release too but I'd rather wait for the Vita version. Because it looks more like a game suited for the Vita imo. I also have a bunch of the old Final Fantasys (as well as some other golden age JRPGs like Chrono Trigger and Vagrant Story) and the Metal Gear Solid games for the Vita that I need to play through..
My backlog is very large and intimidating..

Yeah, I've been impressed by the Vita games, especially since I didn't have high expectations to begin with. I hear ya, my backlog is ridiculous as well, partly because I'm a bit of a collector and partly because lately I have been playing really time consuming games (Fire Emblem Fates trilogy, Fallout 4 and now Witcher 3).
Also, Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all-time.
Finally got back to ME3 tonight. Actually pretty stoked to play it. I had literally gone straight from 1 to 2 to 3 so I was just mass effected out lol. But I just restarted tonight and got back to where I was (Kaiden in a coma or whatever). Decided to go with Vanguard instead of Sentinel this time. ME3 gets off to a great start. Good opening. Fun gameplay. Kaiden almost dying. Maybe actually dying (please die Kaiden). Good stuff.

Totally same. Not gonna lie, P4G was probably about 80% of the reason I bought a Vita. But then I found out there's so much more that the Vita offers. You always read online about how "PS Vita has an incredibly weak game library" and stuff like that when it honestly couldn't be further from the truth. Aside from the actual Vita games (which is a good/great library in and of itself with titles such as P4G, Gravity Rush, the 2 Danganronpas, Child of Light, Freedom Wars, and the two Rayman games just to name a few) you also have access to most of the PSP games as well thanks to the PSN store. But the thing that has me really excited is that the Vita is a fantastic way to experience a bunch of classics. The classic Mega Man games, classic JRPGs such as Chrono Trigger and the older FFs, etc etc. Granted, I'm sure you can play all of those classics on the PS3 as well. But I think retro games like that are way better suited for the Vita at this point. I just think games with a top down view and/or a game that is 2D (which is what most, if not all of these "classic" games have) is more suited for a handheld nowadays. Because when I play something on an actual console, I'd prefer to play something that's too technologically advanced for what a handheld can offer.

I have MGS 1, 2, and 3 for the Vita. What's wrong with that? I'll play 4 and 5 on console whenever I get around to them.

I was kind of the same way, Danganronpa was the main reason I bought a Vita. I am a huge fan of those style of games (the Phoenix Wright series is probably my favorite series of all time). I agree retro games are better suited on handhelds, but I've trying to get most games on their original consoles which is easier said than done. Honestly though, I've probably played my Vita and 3DS way more than my consoles lately, the handheld libraries and overall convenience is just better right now for me.

You play fire emblem games? *excitedly claps* I was the only one over at our old forum and whenever I'd talk about how great they are everyone would be all "The fuck is fire emblem?" Horray!
