Since the 2012 season (for those of us that are math wizes that is the past 4 seasons and this year would make #5) They are 82-247. They have already started out this season 0-1 to a durantless OKC.
I don't want to piss in your cheerios and hope always springs eternal for all fans but the 76'ers have been bad for a very long time and we will have to take your word that is going to change anytime soon, because you can't prove it by history.
But like you said, I am nowhere near a basketball expert so good luck!
Sounds like you preferred the Andre iguodala teams that were so lifeless and never accomplished anything. I'm happy with where the team is headed
The biggest ray of hope the 76ers had in recent years was when Jrue Holiday started to break out and show All Star potential (which he, predictably, would never completely fulfill). Trading Nikola Vucevic was a horrible mistake that probably set them back even further. However, those rosters were just full of incomplete players with potential such as Thaddeus Young, Spencer Hawes, Michael Carter-Williams, Lou Williams, Evan Turner, and others.
The 76ers were getting nowhere with their plan and needed a complete overhaul of their direction. It may take a while, but this team is headed in the right direction. They have some players to build around (Simmons, Embiid, Saric) and some potential trade assets (Noel, Okafor) that could garner a 1st rounder or 2 to fill out the roster.

lol they got hammered by 32 pts at home. Embid looks like a potential great player but that rest of that roster is trash. Their second unit is god-awful.
After two games they are 0-2. They are averaging 84.5 pts on offense while giving up 103.5 pts. The pt differential is -19 after just 2 games. Even the Nets look better at this point.

Lottery pick coming up.
Because the nets are better. The Sixers are the worst team in the league and will continue to be until Simmons returns. Going into this year being the 5th worst team was basically the ceiling, saying we are 0-2 like fans didn't expect it is just lol. You really suck at talking trash bruh

Sixers' fans are absolutely crushed that they won't win or compete a title in the next couple years
And what is going to happen in a "couple of years" that will be different than the last 15 or so? Carson Wentz going to hang up the football cleats after leading the eagles to a couple of championships and become a point guard for them?

The thing that will be different is that the Sixers will have (health permitting) two potential super stars in Embiid and Simmons. Getting those guys is the toughest part of a rebuild and they haven't had one of them since Iverson. And in 3 years of rebuilding it looks like they have two right now with a chance to add a third (any maybe a 4th) if the lottery goes their way this season. You are just trolling anyway so you will just come back with something that doesnt make any sense like "The Sixers are the Browns of the NBA" so i'll just get that out of the way before your response.

What are you just catching up on all your threads? I forgot all about this one LOL! Yes, I was mostly trolling and, while I like basketball and watch it, I am not very knowledgeable about it. So maybe the 76ers are on the cusp of "greatness" but you have to admit, that would be a big depature from most of their history.

Joel Embiid 4-4 from 3 against the Cavs. How many 7-footers with his Defensive skill set can you say can do that in the NBA? None. Embiid is arguably the most talented Center in the NBA right now.
