A San Francisco resident is warning that one of the city's popular farmers markets is on the verge of extinction after being "taken over" by drug dealers and addicts from nearby homeless encampments.
Where is the change in lib/dem policy emerging? Building tent cities, handing out needles and closing down businesses isn't a sustainable policy strategy.
Curious to see how many white people identify as black residents.
Before you burst out laughing at those kooks, two quick points-
1. California Defaults On $18.6 Billion In Debt, Saddling Employers With The Expense
California's recent decision not to pay back some $20 billion borrowed from the federal government to cover unemployment benefits during the pandemic will fall on the shoulders of employers, according to experts.
"The state should have taken care of the loans with the COVID money it received from the government in 2021," said Marc Joffe, policy analyst at the Cato Institute—a public policy think tank headquartered in Washington, D.C., in a statement to the Epoch Times.
In the state's proposed 2023-2024 budget, $750 million was allocated to start paying down the loans, until Governor Gavin Newsom nixed the provision in early January, leaving businesses in the state responsible for the loans, as mandated by federal regulations - so that the federal unemployment tax rate of .6 percent will increase by .3% per year starting in 2023 until the loan is extinguished.
"California is just not really an employer-friendly state," said Joffe. "This one thing will not be a difference between a business remaining open or closing, but it’s just another burden on top of the many burdens the state puts on employers."
In total, 22 states borrowed money for unemployment insurance from the federal government. All but four, California, Colorado, Connecticut, and New York, have paid back their debts - with California owing the most by far at $18.6 billion as of May 2, followed by New York at $8 billion, Connecticut at $187 million and Colorado at $77 million, according to data from the US Treasury.
“Sadly, this is just a trifecta of bad decisions,” Ohanian said. “The [Employment Development Department] made a bad decision to not renew its lease for the fraud detection software, the state government took out a loan and chose to welch on the debt—which is outrageous—and now businesses are repaying more in taxes for the incredibly unwise decisions and mistakes of the state government.”
Reports that the state is seeking forgiveness from the federal government were met with resistance by policy experts, including Ohanian.
“We’ve made a lot of bad decisions and we expect the rest of the country to pay for it,” he said. “It also raises questions about the future: If the state is going to default on the $20 billion federal loans, how safe are municipal bonds from California?”
2. The Biden admin will funnel $800 billion to the California rail project. It's the federal bail-out program. California keeps getting cash and the rail never gets built.
And into your life and your home rode the 87 thousand......
snerb Where are we going, and why am I in a hand basket?

Squad demands $14 TRILLION in federal reparations for descendants of slaves: Radical Dems say huge bill will be paid by reducing defense spending - and 'trauma lives in the black body'
Resolution states the U.S. has 'legal and moral' obligation to provide reparations for the enslavement of black people and calls for $14 trillion to be paid 'At least the amount of the black-white wealth gap,' Cori Bush said Asked about the funding source of such a program, Bush suggested the nation reduce its spending abroad and on defense
A number of House Democrats led by Rep. Cori Bush introduced a resolution Thursday to reignite a push for federal reparations that would amount to over half the U.S. GDP.
The resolution states that the U.S. has a 'legal and moral' obligation to provide reparations for the enslavement of black people and calls for $14 trillion to be paid - 'at least the amount of the black white wealth gap,' Bush told DailyMail.com during a press conference.
The entire U.S. GDP was $25 trillion in 2022. The U.S. is already $31.4 trillion in debt and lawmakers are currently engaged in tedious negotiations over where to cut the budget so they can raise the debt limit.

Tinley supporting school depredation just to own the libs.
In fact (if facts matter) I made no (zero/zip/nada) comment. At all. I simply posted a factual event. For some reason you chose to make shit up about me. I responded by returning the treatment-
bern supporting school wasting money and doing ignorant shit just to own the intelligent thinking.
The fact is, I don't know what you support on this, just that you fucked up (BigTime) and raced to cry about reciprocal treatment.
My beliefs are:
Teens were wrong to vandalize school property.
Adults were wrong to waste (as libs endlessly claim) scarce school funding on laughable nonsense.
Traditionally and historically America has given some degree of legal sympathy to those who haven't reached adulthood. We expect teens to do things that we expect adults to know better. That's just how it works in this country.
I hold the adults to a higher standard of judgement and conduct. Your country may see that in reverse.

You shared the tweet of someone commending the students who vandalized the school bathroom, how dare we think you would think the literal opposite, right? And the ones doing the commending in the tweet and the comments are the adults, not teens. Sounds like there's an "adult" problem in "your country". We expect teens to do BS but that doesn't mean we think they're in the right. I used to find shit like this funny 10 years ago when I was a teen. Then I became an adult and it stopped being funny.

California Senate Approves $300 Weekly Checks for Unemployed Illegals
The California Senate on Tuesday voted to pay $300 weekly checks to unemployed illegal immigrants even as the state faces a roughly $31.5 billion deficit and mass illegal immigration.
Democratic state senators passed Senate Bill 227 by Sen. María Elena Durazo (D.) with a 30-7 vote, sending the measure to the Assembly for approval. The legislation would offer undocumented aliens up to 20 weeks of unemployment benefits if they meet minimal work requirements.
California’s unemployment insurance fund, which was defrauded of some $31 billion during the COVID-19 pandemic, would be in charge of dispensing the checks. California employers are on the hook for the fund’s $20 billion debt in the form of higher payroll taxes that threaten employee-heavy small businesses and restaurants already devastated by California Democrats’ strict COVID-19 lockdowns.
Under SB 227, unemployment fund officials would be barred from asking for claimants’ social security number eligibility or contacting past or present employers to verify their job status. Instead, applicants would self-attest that they meet the requirements for the weekly checks: having earned at least $1,300 or worked at least 93 hours over three months. Acceptable documentation would include tax returns, transaction logs on payment apps, and receipts that show a commuting pattern.
The State Senate passed the measure just months after Gov. Gavin Newsom (D.) said the undocumented migrant influx could "break" California. Earlier this month, when President Joe Biden lifted the federal Title 42 health order restricting immigration, Democratic San Diego mayor Todd Gloria complained that his city would be overwhelmed and lacks "the resources to address an influx of migrants," according to the New York Times.
The Golden State already offers free health coverage and driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. More than two million illegal immigrants live in California.
Tuesday's measure sailed easily through the State Senate. A formidable list of Democratic-aligned lobbying groups are pushing for its passage, including immigration, LGBT, and environmental organizations as well as powerful labor unions.
The law is expected to pass the Assembly, but Newsom has not said whether he plans to sign it. When he was inaugurated, Newsom labeled California a "sanctuary" state welcoming illegal immigrants. He has called the state a "model of partnership for a safe and welcoming border." Last year, however, Newsom vetoed a similar bill that would have established an unemployment insurance pilot program for undocumented workers, saying "this bill needs further work to address the operational issues and fiscal concerns, including a dedicated funding source for benefits."
