I'll give ya twenty fives bucks, plus pay shipping. Must be not folded and must be autographed.
Do you know people that will look at it and turn my $25 into more? Hell, $25 barely covers the paint and the canvas. And EYE LIKE IT TOO.
I'd say $250. And then if you turn it over for $2500 I'll cry, but I'll paint more. All you want is for me to sign it? Hell, I'll leave the girl alone but realize the halo around the vortex and it needs a little movement to the right.
I do now. Dude I have some abstract art. You might be a genius.
Eye freed myself from the poetry stuff for like a half an hour. Sometimes an idea just takes hold. Genius? No way dude. Let's not go there. But Eye like the direction that Eye abruptly went in. It's all about color and balance. I'm into it.
The color was random. But Eye recall painting shit in. Eye was ridding myself of the paint on my palette. The chick and the vortex was the basic idea.
The canvas itself (cheap) was actually convexed, so Eye bent it and you can see that on the back but the painting isn't affected. It's sturdy and framable. The only thing is that Eye don't consider it a final product.
Haha. okay. Two fifty is maybe in the game. Canvas? Oil paint? how big?
Autographed is a must. Not negotiating that.
You need to title it me tinks.
Eye don't have a title yet. All Eye wanna do to it is touch up that vortex or whatever it is a little bit to the right. In a circular fashion, like you can already see. I'll sign it of course, but when Eye add I'm not sure what will stand out more. I'm hoping for the girl, but ya never know. Art is funny like that. I'm shooting for maybe something simple like "The Girl." Then the vortex or whatever she's coming out of doesn't really have to matter. But it's there. Otherwise if the vortex sticks out, the vortex, which is the cooler name but not necessarily the proper name.
Back to your painting. I just noticed the ocean at the top. Everytime I look at this I see something different. I don't see and elephant though. I see an ugly profile.
The blue at the top is actually from a painting behind it, lol. But Eye noticed it in the photo too and I'm probably going to add it. That's easy enough. It's all about the balance, for me, with the bit of blue that's already there.
You think the girl's profile is ugly (bottom left). I'm keepin' it. Eye like the elbow and the hips. Maybe Eye should do something with her face and her tits, but Eye kinda like the way she looks. In the original photo she's sort of bent over and coming out of the ocean. That profile sort of makes the painting, as far as I'm concerned.
I'm befuddled by the middle, but ideas take a few days to gestate.
Funny enough, about the time you responded Eye was looking at it and searching for art supplies online. Eye want some silver and gold paint, glittery shit. Eye guess I'll reload on my old acrylics while I'm at it. And different sized canvases. And Eye think maybe sandpaper to tweek shit. Mabye a few drip bottles too. Amazon is where Eye bought the first round of shit, but it looks like Walmart is cheaper. BLICK is cool, but more expensive. They have cooler canvases though.
Eye spoke to my professor about your offer, but he felt the same in the idea of not selling a finished product. Eye love the idea that you're interested, but maybe it's better due to process to put it off for a little while. And Eye did bend it and you can kind of see it in the photo. Not out of shape, but it was meant to be a practice canvas and yeah hell it turned out pretty good. Eye guess taking one idea and throwing paint around is better for me. But by no means am Eye finished. Eye don't see it changing much, but a little bit here, a little bit there. I'll add the blue at the top, but I'm not really going to touch it until Eye meet up with Ralph on Tuesday. No Thursday next week, it's the 4th of July, so maybe I'll just paint on the 4th of July anyway. In the meantime, Eye write. And the painting is definitely secondary to the writing. Nice release though, and definitely inter-connected.
