That's not the original link. Eye found of link of sexy chicks and I'm looking for poses with arms and legs and shapes that are fairly obvious. It's funny how most photographs don't accentuate form. I'm not really being a perv or anything, Eye just figure Eye oughta begin this painting thing with things that Eye like. Eye could paint straight up pussy, that might be interesting, but lol no I'm not going there. Eye should hit on sports at some point.
Eye just googled Alexis Ren and that's not even her. But that's the pic. Lol.
wow. good ........what does teacher say?......good ?
I say good job.
He hasn't even seen that. Eye painted that tonight at home. He likes the other one that you liked the other day. He says Eye have a good eye for composition. Eye understand that, but WTF does that mean? Right? What I'm looking for is balance. Eye don't want you or me to be overwhelmed by what we're looking at. Eye think Eye might have a feel for that, based on my writing. Come in fast, explain something quick and then get out early and let the reader figure it out. No different with painting, imo. There's gotta be a subtlety to things. Not with everything of course, depending. But with a female form? Especially in this day and age. Women are beautiful, but they're not just beautiful. They're colorful and color has mood and that's what I'm thinking about.
He taught me things at the beginning, but he's letting me go and now he's just staring at stuff. Thanks for calling me "kid" btw. Eye was a good writer, so my father pushed in that direction. Eye am a good writer, in certain aspects, but now I've come full circle back to something that Eye always knew Eye could do. Drawing is key. Eye can do that. Eye feel free by cheating and cutting things out and working with them, only to save time. Ralph (the teacher) doesn't see anything wrong with that. A lot of artists do it, of course. It's sort of collage. But credit should be given where it's due. So layer it and layer it and layer it until there's no credit. You have to start somewhere. So you saw the photograph, but it really has nothing to do with the endpoint. Eye should probably forget about the hallway unless I'm trying to impress the photographer or the model, although it's a damn good picture.
But it ain't finished. This one is 8 x 10 and should be part of a series of chicks. Eye have a box full of 8 x 10s but just got another delivery of 16 x 20s today. Maybe I'll make my homework the 8-10s and take the bigger stuff to class? Good idea actually. You're definitely helping with my confidence, but since this thread began my confidence is doing well anyway. It's art. My sister is the same. Eye didn't know what to paint and Eye worried about it. She said LET IT GO. She's right.
geez dude, you painted over that! Do you need me to send you art supplies. Like canvases? Your stuff could be great.
Yeah Eye shouldn't have. I've got enough money to not worry about it, but Eye still have a cheap mind. Eye should have just yanked out another canvas. I'm pretty sure Eye can re-paint that if Eye get the notion. Eye got a little too creative last night, this night, whatever, and Eye painted over something. Eye improved it, but Eye painted over the process. I'm gonna stop that.
No Eye don't need any supplies. But I'm not too quick to sell anything just yet. Eye only have, lemme look really quick, 7 paintings. Only the last 3-4 strike me as going in the direction that I'm going in. Two are finished, but Eye should hold onto them for a little while.
You know what Eye should paint? Totally abstract, because Eye think we've seen it abstractly ever since? 9/11. The different angles of cameras capturing the way those planes went into those buildings? It's something I've always thought about, because I've seen commercials and thought to myself "did Eye just see that?" Media does that. I'm sure artists have done it too. But it's something I've always thought about.
Not to get off the chick form thing. I'll be doing that lol. Eye found a lot of them the other night, nice pictures, and I'm sure I'll eye more.
Eye could probably leave it like that, but that's a real woman in there.
Say it took off like wildfire on Twitter or elsewhere and she saw it. My guess is that she'd be immediately flattered. But the endgame is that it's a picture of her, probably owned by her, and it's not fair for me to use her image. Or is it? Is it an elaborate form of retweeting something? I'm not gonna keep it the way it is, as Eye have something else in mind. But Eye like it, so there's the photo.
Interesting. Meant for the girl and the drink. The two men walking away are a bonus.
This one I don't get yet. Don't see two men walking away. I thought I saw a pink flamingo head in the lower right corner and a guy with a hat on. Oh and an upside down red head. haha.
I'm glad I'm helping your confidence. I'm not an art guy really, but I truly like your work.
To the right of the girl's head are two more heads, one grayish blue and the other one yellow and orange. Both appear to be giving her the eye, maybe just taking a last look, maybe saying goodbye? Eye didn't put them there on purpose, it's just the swirl of the paint. The martini glass looks empty to me. It's got a bar-tending feel to it, to me. Like maybe "Last Call."
Eye just need to make those guys stand out a little more. Eye like the way the girl came out, but it needs a little work.
Eye love art museums, but I'm not very schooled in art theory or anything. Lately I'm just playing with shapes. When Eye brought up the idea of painting my poetry to my sister, she questioned the vice versa of that. There's a little bit of that in this one too. At its endpoint, anyway. Maybe a bit of a spill beneath the glass or a cracked glass or lots of more glasses? Not sure, lol.
And thanks. Eye wouldn't really call it "work" yet, but I'm moving in a direction Eye guess.
