Mom has a spot in one of her lungs. They are going to try to blast it out with radiation on the 17th. Second bout since the bladder cancer. Hoping for similar results.

Best of luck man. Fuck cancer. She's gonna kick its ass!

Sorry to hear that buddy. If she beat cancer once she can beat it again hope it all works out.
She is 92 and quite frail. Dad is 95 and getting more and more confused. At the beginning of this year, it was my fear that this one would be my last with them. And it may well be. Both have pacemakers and several physical problems. Pretty proud of how tough they are and the way they hang in for each other. When one goes, the other will certainly quickly follow. They are each other's purpose in life. Don't get me wrong. They love me and my family as well. But I believe it is their concern for each other that has kept them going so long.
Oh, they have been married 72 years. Talk about your life sentences...

That wouldn't surprise me I've heard quite a few case where people who have been married for that long, usually when one passes the other follows shortly thereafter. That's great to hear that they've been together for 72 years.
My dad was 85 when he passed in 2016 it was sad having to watch him slip away day by day, I think what hurt the most was when he didn't even remember who I was. I'm sure you do but let them know everyday how much you love them and enjoy whatever time you have left with them.
She was pretty positive and cheerful today. I know this procedure will take a lot out of her. Probably be wiped out for a couple of weeks. But if it is successful, it is worth it.

Cancer treatment can have bad side effects. The cancer can be cured but it could damage organs. My wife is in the field and also has firsthand experience. Cancer treatment is evolving to bring minimal levels of radiation and chemo to match the challenge. Today, patients get blasted with far more treatment than required.

I wanna be married to my hubs for 72 years. Lol...but I don’t think I’m gonna make to 107.

At this point, I suppose we have to rely on the expertise of Dr. Bedano. He successfully removed the cancer from her bladder with numerous focused radiation treatments. As frail as she is, just about anything could kill her at this point. But I can't really step in and stop the procedure.
My own personal experience is that most medical specialists use a dartboard. I pray that is not the case this time.
