I just sat down to type this and it probably was a mistake...I don't know if I'll be able to get up. Well, at least this chair has wheels...
Earlier today at work I pulled something in my back lifting a power sectional sofa. Heard a click when I lifted and now I can't bend over and can barely get in and out of a chair. Took me 10 minutes to sit down on the toilet earlier. Have an appointment with my chiropractor in an hour so hopefully that can help it a little bit, but yea. Sucky week just got suckier. Was scheduled to unload a truck by myself this week (partner was going on Vacation). Two managers are going on vacation as well so there will only be two managers to work the truck if I can't go on Friday.
I probably shouldn't do this kind of work anymore either after this as I already broke my arm last year after being basically injury free most of my life. This is wearing me down.

I agree with Blue on this. X ray and consultation first. Back injuries suck. I've been lucky in that department my whole life. Back got a little tired and sore once in a while but never click and act like that. Good luck.

Can't put on my Halloween costume cuz Adobe blocked me.
My brother just fucked up his back at work and the only thing he can do is walk around.
Outside of pain meds and maybe a surgical intervention the best thing to do is reduce working load while continuing to be mobile.
Itll heal on it's own
Yea, the pain definitely lessens the more I move around. If I lay down for like more than 10 minutes, I can barely even get out of bed. Ibuprofen is keeping the edge off. I don't think I need surgery, but all of my symptoms are telling me it could be a herniated disc. Tingling in my legs, pain in my ass, my lower back is completely tight.

Little update, feeling a hell of a lot better today. Might have been a little scare, but I definitely have a lot more mobility than I did yesterday. Was icing it a lot and stayed active did laundry till like 9 last night and that helped keep me moving. I can almost make a 90 degree angle bending. Still some pain, but went from like a 9/10 yesterday (even with Ibuprofen) to maybe a 6/10 today without medication.
Yea for any future back issues for you guys, keep moving, even if it hurts. Even if it is just pacing around the house for a bit, keep moving. Unless your back is like broken or some shit where you can't physically move without the pain making you pass out.
Sorry to hear it, back injuries and pain are the worst. And yes, as they say - motion is lotion.
I swear the pain I felt yesterday made me want to cry. My lower back was so tight I could only walk on tiptoe to avoid any major spasms. There was a point where I was moving around my room bent over and pulling myself around with my hands.
Physical Therapists are definitely the way to go, after the x-rays and the physician consult.
Even PTs believe in most of this stupid shit you see now. Foam rolling and static stretching are useless unless your goal is to be more flexible
Well, I can say from experience that all PTs are not created equal. Fortunately for me, my most recent experiences have been under the supervision of a Neurology Group at the Neuroscience Center and then Neurohope. But there are a lot out there that are not of the same caliber.
If guidance from quality people is available, one should take advantage IMO.
