This is probably worth going to the theater to see. Hate where they have the handicapped seating. Too close to the screen, aisle in front where everyone walks by and too loud. Still, sometimes it is worth it.
Been watching a couple of documentaries on WWI. Yeah, I get bored. Been following one on Vietnam too. Pretty interesting stuff though. The devil is in the details, as they say.

Great movie visually but I think it failed to capture the power of the German army. A typical battle would open with a 4 hour barrage of mortor and cannon fire. 4 hours was the magic number because at 4 hours the typical soldier would be shell shocked.
That feeling is what I think needed to be brought to the screen somehow.
And there was not a whole lot of movement inside the trenches themselves, unlike the film where the main characters moved freely. A bit unrealistic
But still was good
