Unsolved Mysteries, it is more like Dateline and 20/20 now. Bleh
Yeah I watched that too. The first one about the questionable suicide was good, but the others were meh. Mostly just cold cases with bad detective work.
I’d never heard of that show until you mentioned it. Seems like it could have some potential. Have you ever watched Carnivàle on HBO?
Never heard of it. I don't have access to any HBO medium so I don't hear about a lot of the exclusives from it.
If you ever do, Rome is worth the price of admission. Still the best series I have ever seen. It is set as the story of two soldiers, but is actually the transition of the boy Octavian to the Emperor Augustus.

I never got around to seeing that. Maybe I'll start that next. Is that the show that one of the main actors was killed, or passed away in real life when the series was still somewhat fresh?

No, that was Spartacus. The lead actor got killed in a motorcycle accident and had to be replaced in the second season.
Lucious Voreenus is still alive and well on Grey's Anatomy and Titus Pullo has placed all kinds of roles as a badass. .

Not a motorcycle accident, he died of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at age 39. There was a documentary about it called Be Here Now, the Andy Whitfield Story. To this day, one of the more heartbreaking things I’ve seen.
Alone Season 7 on History Channel Irrisistible movie with Steve Carell, Rose Byrne and Chris Cooper
Nice! I thought there were only six seasons. I watched 6 first, then started from the beginning. Currently on season 2.
Same as us. My son and I watched Season 6 on Netflix. We were planning on going back to Season 1, but then I saw that Season 7 was out on the History Channel, so we've been watching that.
Season 7 is cool, it's the same location on Great Slave Lake as Season 6, but a different challenge - make it 100 days and get $1 million.

Damn...that's pretty awesome. It gets pretty brutal when the weather really starts to turn. I don't know if you watched the first season, but it was on Vancouver Island and that climate might have been worse overall. The temperature pretty much hovered a little about freezing every day, during daylight, and it rained almost non stop every day. It looked miserable...

I have read that Season 1 was brutal, with a lot more bears and wolves too. We will have to check it out
I got Hulu when I was "working" from home for 5 weeks and caught a lot of HBO shows; new ones and a couple I rewatched (Sopranos & Rome).
The new Perry Mason, set in 1930s LA, is dark, gritty, compelling and nothing like the black & white TV show with lardass Raymond Burr. Lots of the usual cable nudity, profanity & gore. Some nice plot twists to keep me interested.
BTW, Perry's a private dick, like he was in the original novels.

Seen a lot of ads on Perry Mason. Looks real good. On my list.
For some silly reason I watched the Borne trilogy all the way through yesterday. Obviously I have a busy schedule.
