Are you aware that mythology is just a collection of myths, typically pertaining to a religion? Christianity has a mythology as well. Noah's Ark... Countless miracles... Whether or not Jesus was a real person, the bulk of what's in the bible is mythology, not historical fact. There can be truth laced into the mythology, but it's still mythology. But if that term is preventing you from understanding the point, do you believe in Vishnu?

Do you know what a myth is? Most of Christianity is made up of myths. Stories of god intervening with humanity or with Jesus committing miracles are also myths. The only reason people don’t call it “Christian Mythology” is because people still think their stories are actually true.

The point though, is to get you to look at another religion that exists today. Hinduism, Scientology, etc... Actually read up on it and find out wha they claim, and you find yourself not believing in it, ask yourself why, and then try to apply that same logic to your current faith and see if it your religion holds up. That’s all atheists do. They are the same as religious folk on 99% of the religious folk out there. The only difference is the one religion they disagree on.

I get confused I guess, because you often talk about your relationship with Jesus. I assume that means you believe he is the son of God. I apologize if that's wrong.

By the same token, you constantly fail to understand my side as well. The whole point of asking you about Zeus was to try to get you to understand how an atheist thinks. Most religious people believe in their own faith and reject all others. People who believe in the bible are commanded by their god to not believe in/worship any other gods. So those people look at every other religion out there and refuse to accept the basis of their faith. The difference between an atheist and the massive majority of religious people out there is most religious folk are atheists towards 99.9% of religions out there. Atheists are atheists towards 100%. It's a really small difference. Yet most people of faith think there is something inherently evil about atheism.

I think I do get your side. My whole family almost are atheists. I'm not that familiar with Zeus. I only know what I feel. Once again I am of no religion. I do not know if the bible is the word of God. I don't know its not. I don't care. I have my own love and I'm happy with it. It works for me and it has no name. All the stuff you are talking about of religion and other religions does not apply to me. I respect atheists and I respect my beliefs. I think you may be starting to understand me, because I do not claim to know the answer. I only know what I have been shown.
