its my game of the decade and im not sure it is that close, nothing else is quite like it feels like an evolution for exploration and how narrative is told in games and i hope more devs take note. If you decide to play it go in completely blind because that is the best way to experience it. Might be one of my top 5 games of all time i finished it and cant stop thinking about it

you mean the steven king story? There is one planet in the game that is like that and its fucking freaky
its a nonlinear narrative told mostly through text you translate from a long dead race that lived in your solar system some time ago. You keep pulling on threads which lead to new mysteries and new places to explore. Its wonderfully executed, need to kind of give yourself over to it for a couple hours and keep an open mind to get sucked in, it will not be like other stuff you have played. Has some of the most creative level design ive seen in a game and just so many cool fucking moments that come from these unique locations. Lots of cool space stuff going on which kinda reinvigorated my love for the cosmos and just creativity in general to keep you thinking. Cant say enough good things, it can be a very chill experience a lot of time... until its not. It gets crazy

Was a really interesting, different game. I played it and one of the sequels. I’d honestly like to give it a shot as an adult.
ive moved it up to my third favorite game of all time
I've checked it out. I just haven't had time to play through it. I need a block of time to get into it. It's frustrating to play in spurts.
To start you'd prob need a couple of hours to sort of grasp onto at least one thing or mystery in the story. Once you understand a few things playing in short spurts isn't really all that bad due to the loop but when you have no idea what's going on (which is kind of intended the first few hours since the story is told non linearly) I can understand that. And if you take long breaks you forget everything which is kind of the machine of the game. The story is the gameplay and the puzzles it's all connected. The goal for finding something is more knowledge either about story or how you can access somewhere else to learn more.
How many hours you play about? It's hard to get people to play it because I have to be so non descript so as to not spoil it because when it's all connected so tightly anything I say could be a massive spoiler for the story and gameplay at the same time. Props for trying it out, hope you go back it or played long enough to understand why ppl are crazy about it lol.
The ship log can also be a help if you feel lost, it contextualjzes everything you've discovered and if there's more in that area to see or not, and leaves breadcrumbs for other threads to follow based on partial info you may have gathered.

I played about 4 hours. Enough to understand what I need to do, but not enough to know what's going on. I should get a chance to get back into it in November. Been a hectic year. Haven't had much time to do any gaming.
