IDK what a 'naturally occuring panic attack' is, but keep your distance, retake his temp (how high was the fever?), and get him tested if possible. Zero tolerance on sharing and breathing for 2-3 weeks in the meantime. You can still take care of him, but love doesn't mean having to get sick and die.
EDIT: "my son is here" sounds like he isn't normally, so does he have his own home? Is it close enough to you? Hopefully he's okay aside from that.

Tiny houses are cool and all until someone gets a fever during a pandemic.
Tent in the backyard IMO. He can hang there until he he hits 98°. Set up a pully system between the house and the tent so you can send food and toilet paper out to him. Its the only way.
Seriously though thats rough. This whole covid thing is just a giant crock of shit. And it needs to go away now.

Agreed.
Really kinda ruined a great reunion. Ugh...the stress of it all.

How old is he?
How high did the temp get? Pulling for y’all!
He’s 17 and his fever was 101...so not too high. It was crazy. We took his temp about 1 or so and he didn’t have a fever. A couple hours later his fever was 100.8

And thank you...
What!?! That's very high, covid doesn't mean 103F, it's anything 100+F. Did you really not know that? BTW, got a haircut Fri, they took my temp, 98.2F. Just got off the phone with my sister, who said 'normal' these days is lower than it used to be (98.6). IDK why that would be true (if so), but supposedly is.
Thanks guys for letting me vent. It’s crazy but telling y’all about it helped me cope. His fever is gone.
He’s feeling good. Looks like it was just a head cold. Whew!
I’m not saying we’re completely out of the woods, but feeing much better that his fever has gone.
Can you all get tested or are you all going to isolate?
Yeah, a 'head cold' doesn't usually involve fever, 101F is huge. He and maybe you should get tested. I'll bet the plan does not involve testing nor isolation.
