I’m not crediting anyone with bringing civilization to its knees. You implied there were no credible threats against the Governor in your very clever Soul insult, and I’m reminding you that people have been charged in a plot to kidnap the Governor.

I think the scenes around the Michigan Capitol protests, while not constituting a crime, were threatening and dangerous. That’s not factoring the plot to kidnap the Governor herself. She was in actual danger. Michigan officials and citizens were in danger. So I don’t see the point in highlighting a John F Kennedy group recognizing Whitmer for carrying out her duty in the face of that danger. I imagine JFK peoples are sensitive to danger posed to elected officials.

If you guys want to highlight this group for recognizing Whitmer, feel free. Just think it is a waste of time as there is a reasonable explanation for the award, and the award doesn’t actually mean a thing as far as I can tell.

Her award isn't simply for being almost kidnapped, she wasn't almost kidnapped and the feds had this under control. Her award is for her handling of covid. Do you think her handling is award worthy? You can continue to praise her courage and still comment on her policies. Why do you think Michigan was such a mess?

In regards to Whitmer, maybe you didn't follow the story and think the threat was imminent. If I recall, they also wanted to kidnap another governor. FBI was well aware of the plot for months and nobody was in immediate danger.

Newsom results have been better than Whitmer's but I'm not sure about MI demographics v. CA (especially age). Do you think Newsom performed well? Newsom definitely didn't follow the science and that's supposed to be a big thing with those on the left, but not bigger than caving to unions. His kids are in school though, so all good. Hopefully the recall is successful, not probable, in fact, highly improbable, but there's always hope! Like the FBI with Whitmer, he's taking it seriously now.

Edit:  The same idiots wanted to kidnap Ralph Northram too.  His race controversy probably made his nomination for the courage award a bit to much for the JFK library.
