You're right that would be a good tax if done correctly. Throw Land Value Tax in there as well.

I'm not surprised at all that you have a fear of taxes, considering how ass fucking backwards the US taxing has been in harming our tax bracket more than taking the riches fair share. But you need to get past that programming in your brain. Horded money is wasted money.

I am pretty concerned about Russia’s ability to manipulate the minds of marginalized and mentally unstable people. I haven’t done enough research on the subject yet but I strongly suspect most of these random acts of political violence are a result of their influence.

With the election coming up and additional issue of potential AI misuse these are becoming extremely scary times.

Instead of pointless diatribes and acrimony perhaps we should worry about protecting those in our own flock and even our rivals from disinformation.

The UK's economic prime during the last century was during the Thatcher years. They are struggling to dig out from the high tax, heavy burdensome social programs, unionization anchor that continues to drag the country down.

There's a huge difference between earning more money to have a comfortable living, and hording more money than you know what to do with.

So you would be in favor of an instant, overnight 25% increase in the cost of everything. Wonder how that would effect people. And a land value tax already exists, it's called a property tax.

And the whole "fair share" argument is laughable. Can you give a definition of "fair share"?

Guess I didn’t make my point well enough for your consideration.  Being marginalized and/or dealing with some form mental issue is not limited to any geographic or political affiliation.  Not even socioeconomic differences exclude any group.  But hearing that voice that assures you are part of something bigger and important can be manipulated into blind trust and even obedience in a vulnerable person.

I have always reserved the right to be wrong.  If someone can provide me with better information and/or reasoning I can change my mind.  Perhaps grudgingly at times but I don’t base my ego satisfaction on always being right.  

And the border is open or closed depending on your definition.  And all or nothing bullshit generally does not apply to complex situations.

I should also note that my penchant for fucking around and messing with people looses all joy when dealing with issues of this magnitude.  Nothing funny or cute about it.  Truth needs to out regardless of who it makes happy, sad or proud.  Now more than ever we need to deal in facts.  And to eliminate those in power than lean on bullshit and disinformation to further their agenda.
