America is definitely still way too racist to elect an asian. America still can't cast asian males in leading roles, unless it's a martial arts themed movie. Unless Wang runs on literally, physically kicking the crap out of your enemies, too many Americans won't take him seriously. I know nothing about him otherwise. Honestly, the same sort of mindset is probably still true about women too. Hell, they weren't ready for a black president either, and it showed when Obama got elected.

Obama himself stated that he might have come 20 years too soon.  The implication was all the latent hatred and racism his being in office stirred up.
