Just got back from Steeler camp. Wasn't too too intense. There was another skirmish after a session where they were doing double team training with the OL and DL.
Main points to take away:
Dwayne Haskins is far and away playing like our #2 QB. Rudolph is cracking under the pressure of camp and is throwing nothing but checkdowns and screens.
Ben connected on a few deep shots that looks strong. One to Diontae Johnson for a TD and another to Freiermuth.
Freiermuth looks like he could be a significant downfield threat early on. Great hands, athletic.
Najee Harris is as good as advertised. Already making bad blocking look good. He hasn't had much to work with with Okorafor, Dotson, and Banner injured (though Banner practiced for the first time today), but he is fighting for everything he gets and he makes something out of nothing.
if Haskins cleans up his act he could be starting for you soon. I wouldn't bet on Ben starting 17 games. Come to think of it I wouldn't bet on any QB starting 17 games except He Who Must Not Be Named
I honestly think the Steelers are planning on giving Haskins more of a redshirt year this year than anything. They will give Rudolph and/or Dobbs the shot to be the backup for this year at least and let Haskins get as many mental reps as possible before forcing him into a position where he has that responsibility put on him before he is ready.

Has Rudolph ever impressed you?
No, he has not. If it were up to me, Haskins would be the #2. I am saying what Tomlin is probably planning to do and what it seems like will happen based on everything I've heard coming out of camp.
If Rudolph were truly the guy and they had the confidence that he could become the starter after Ben leaves, Haskins wouldn't even be on the roster. Rudolph is already 26 years old and won't be any better than he has shown so far. He will never be more than a backup QB.

Snell maybe, but I don't see Washington being on the bubble at all.
I just don't see a role for him, and he hardly gets playing time because of it. He's kind of just a poor man's Juju. Maybe they use him to replace Juju, but only if they get Washington really cheap in a re-sign.
Well there you have it. Washington has allegedly asked for a trade.

Still not impressed with what I have seen from Rudolph. Captain checkdown.

I love Harris though. He makes 6 yards out of nothing and never gets taken down after first contact.
