In general, we have created many problems in the past year. China is both the biggest, it's the most revealing. Let's call it the LeBron. Iran is on deck refiring its nuclear weapons program, NKorea has already jumped back on stage and the Middle East is itching to get back in the conflict game.

Basically what it says is that Putin probably believes China will back him and that gives them access to the second biggest economy in the world. Under these circumstances he thinks he can take all of Ukraine Estonia and so forth with impunity as long as there are no incursions into NATO countries. And he has threatened unimaginable retaliation if any outside force interfers.
