Game really gives you the option to not fight the first boss off rip but knows you're going to try anyways

What really put it over the top is that you can choose the amount of body hair your character has

My kids are playing. Looks awesome and they are having a blast.

Well I did it. I bought an Xbox Series S SPECIFICALLY for Elden Ring (and Hogwarts Legacy when it comes out) and I am already loving it. Just got through the first part, but I won't be able to play until tomorrow because the rest of the game isn't playable until the whole thing is downloaded.

Definitely a hard game to grasp early on as I haven't played on an Xbox controller for a while and am used to the switch setup.

I've already died a couple of times during the tutorial and fighting the very beginning "boss" soldier guy that you have to parry to beat. The game looks gorgeous.
