Saw this reaction a few days ago and surprised it wasn't posted here. Schwarber loses it on ump Angel Hernandez after what is probably the worst umped game many have seen in a long, long, time. Schwarber was even saying it was bad on both sides and from Andrew McCutchen's reaction he agreed (McCutchen plays for the Brewers now).
Earlier in the same game against the Brewers.
Worst pitch of the night at about 15 seconds into the video.
I like Scwarner but that was borderline strike/ball
No Tatis Jr return in June and Padres 4 games out, 3-7 in last 10. Looks like Padres could be slipping away
Luckily for them the NL doesn’t have a lot of depth, especially with the Braves and Phillies underachieving. If the Padres can stay above .500 they’ll be right in it. They desperately need a closer though, and a total implosion isn’t out of the question. Just look at last year.

The Pirates are slowly bringing me back in. Sweeping the latest series against the Dodgers and winning the season series against them was something to be sure.
Roansy Contreras is another reason why I am starting to get a little bit of interest back into this team. His ERA through 3 starts is just under 2 this season and he has electric stuff. His fastball sits in the upper 90s around 96-98. The Pirates got him from the Yankees in the Jameson Taillon trade. He is probably their best pitcher right now and is only 22 years old.
At some point this season as well, they should see the call ups of top prospects 1B Mason Martin, SS Oneil Cruz, and OF Travis Swaggerty who should all be in the starting lineup soon.
As of right now, the Pirates are hovering around the 20-25 range in power rankings rather than the bottom 5, which is a bit of an improvement.
