There are numerical limits but our neighbor to the south is being overwhelmed with people who are seeking to enter the U.S.
What do you suggest? Finish building the wall? Machine gun them at the border?
Interesting that you mention it....
Biden called for rushing the border. Ordered the Border patrol to stand down. Has refused to enforce border laws. Stopped border enforcement measures. This created a mass market for cartels who, like organized crime shaking down big city businesses, now control the border and take a financial cut from those seeking to please the Biden team. A toll. They are using the riches, endlessly inflated by team Biden, to build both weapons and power in the border states. Mexico is now faced with taking a military action to try and regain control of their own country. Gun fire is now being aimed at commercial flights.
We have created a humanitarian crisis of a disgustingly inhumane tragedy. And the only reason given is Because Trump.
The bill to rescind the money passed the House on a party-line vote of 221-210. The Democratic-controlled Senate has vowed to ignore it.
Shortly before the vote, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office projected that rescinding the extra IRS funding would increase deficits over the coming decade by more than $114 billion. That created an awkward moment for Republicans, who have been saying that addressing deficits would be one of their top concerns in the majority. It offered an early example of how the GOP’s bold promises on the campaign trail could get tangled in the messy reality of governing.

No. I didn't accuse the CBO, or anyone of lying. In fact, after a careful review of my post I can safely conclude that I never even used that word or synonym.
I did, in fact, make the point that the posted portion of State media-

1. The number is speculation (projection). The actual number will absolutely be different (more or less). I'm fine with that, it's a reference number. Conversely, some posters have a fondness of seizing on discrepancies like that to attack the overall point.
2. Cutting the 87,000 comes as part of a comprehensive package. All of it (yep, each and every part) has some effect on the outcome of the debt/deficit. That's just the way it works for everyone involved in policy and gov't actions. When repubs try to cut cash to Ukraine, will the Party media frame it as keeping its commitment to reducing the deficit/debt or will they frame it as "undermining a key ally at a time of need to help Trump ally Putin"? Actions need to be judged comprehensively. Simply framing them to help the Party is...uh... let me find the word....oh yeah, Gaslighting
3. The framing is simply a statement from the dem leadership and released by Party media masquerading as "news".
4. The 87,000 are aimed at small business and unskilled workers. The AP could have framed it as "saving mom and pop business and service industry workers from increased IRS intrusion", but that wouldn't serve the Party now would it?
5. It isn't an awkward moment for repubs. They campaigned on that effort. If they in fact failed to make good on a campaign pledge, that would be "awkward".
