Agreed that it's only a bandaid. But canceling the loans, interest, and extending the repayment pause will help a lot of people all the same.

"It's not my job to put the shopping cart where it belongs, they pay people for that." I doubt you've made enough where that tax amount even makes a significant difference.

Personally I don't think you should be, and I've made that case before. I don't get anything out of this either, doesn't bother me because it'll be a net positive.
