ok so ive had a look at the leaks

everyone is so obsessed with only one continuity ever since the MCU and 



if they want to do a movie with the chick then make it a spin off, dont fucking replace indiana jones.  If you want to use the IP for something new then you better fucking deliver the original as well.  Having one replace the other is just stupid.

The timelines dont need to connect, you can bring back The young adventures of indiana jones (could be canon young Indy, Indiana's son, or someone completely different you never heard of).  Make it an anthology tv show, fuck it Shiloh Bluff gets a season too.  It could be anyone.  Then on top of that you get the Movies with Harrison or whatever.  He is not replaceable so don't even try. 

When you are done with the Harrison movies just fucking leave em.  Make new movies with the new characters, they dont have to follow in his footsteps or even be in the same continuity.

Instead of doing that long term they want all of that in one movie in order to replace something.  They did it with Star Wars so not that surprising i guess.  If this is some goodbye to Harrison and they kill him off that just feels so wrong for the character.  There is no tearful goodbye, he fucks off and you never see him again.
