Orlando Brown signed with the Bengals. Looks like a great deal and fills an immense need on Bengals OL.
There must be more to the story as Brown joins his 3rd team since 2018, all with AFC Contenders
Per ProFootballTalk.com
Tackle Orlando Brown has agreed to term with the Bengals, per multiple reports that were confirmed by his agent.
It’s being characterized as a four-year, $64 million deal. That’s $16 million per year on average, well short of the top of the market for left or right tackles.
The structure will be interesting, but it looks like a good deal for the Bengals. The question now becomes whether he’ll be playing the left side or the right side.
Originally a third-round pick of the Ravens in 2018, Baltimore traded Brown to the Chiefs in early 2021. The Chiefs applied the franchise tag to Brown in 2022.

I would have been more than okay with the Steelers signing him for that much. They were reportedly part of the chase for Brown along with the Jets, but the Bengals probably gave him the best offer.
I was expecting more along the lines of $19-$22 million aav for Brown. $16 million aav is a steal for a potential Franchise LT.

Don't you worry that something is wrong with Orlando Brown.? Franchise left tackles don't hit the market, unless they are beyond their prime, or have other issues.

IMO $16 million is still a low risk contract for, at worst, could be an elite RT if he doesn't fit as a LT protecting Burrow. Brown is still only 26 years old.

With Miles Sanders gone (off to the Panthers for $25 mil, 4 yr deal), the Eagles will go after Zeke. Unless it was a matter of money that they lost Sanders in the first place. But Zeke would also have to love this idea, don't ya think?

Hard pass
Yeah I know, but what we gonna do? Scott and Gainwell, that's something the Pats would roll with. With the 31st pick, they could get at least a 3 way split.

Steelers release Myles Jack. Holy fuck. Did not see that coming. Makes the draft very interesting for them. They sign Elandon Roberts. Still have a hole there, IMO. They usually don't change up the status quo this much in one offseason.

Penny is a stud... just needs to stay healthy
Yes he is. Loved him at SDSU. He led the league in rushing last year until his injury.......again.
Looking at Sanders contract I bet Ekeler stays with the Chargers. He's seeking a trade but still under contract for $6.5 million this year. Wants upward of twelve mil per. Not going to get it.
Oh and Robinson 8 million for two years. Just go with the extension the Chargers offered Eke, we still love you. I know you don't want to take the pounding anymore so we will get a bruising back to help you.
