It should be obvious that I don't want to go down that road with you. I don't think that "everyone else" has committed a crime, I have no evidence of "everyone else" having committed a crime, and "everybody was doing it" doesn't work for children and you shouldn't expect it to work for adults.
The POTUS pressuring a state official to engage in unethical (if not also illegal) activity, to overturn the results of a presidential election, is a very serious misdeed. He even had the gall to expressly state the number of votes he wanted to overturn the election. He needs to be held accountable. Sorry.
Of course he should be held accountable. So should everyone that breaks the law. So, you clearly only want to focus on the illegal activity of the person you don’t like. Got it.
How do you think they will go about proving intent based on that phone call?

How will they go about providing
By playing the phone call to jurors...
Lol. If it was that air tight he would’ve been charged already. Jurors are tasked to look at things without bias, unlike yourself.
Bearcat isn't pointing out that team Trump caused tax payers millions by suing about the 2020 election, so why would you bring this up?
I was asking a georgia taxpayer if the person who cost georgia taxpayers millions of dollars upset him?
Why is a florida taxpayer answering for him?
Why are you asking if that makes him upset? It has nothing to do with anything. Bearcat isn't complaining about tax payer dollars being spent in his post.

Trump should be held accountable for pressuring a state official to overturn the results of a presidential election. Your deflection and your strawman argument doesn't change that. Sorry.

Oh hey bearcat, sorry, I didn’t realize you changed your screen name and started talking in 3rd person.
snerb Where are we going, and why am I in a hand basket?
Every other POTUS who called a state secretary of state and asked them to "find" votes and throw out votes, to overturn the results of a presidential election? Sure...
Ok, that’s the crime you’re focused on. Fair.
Now do everyone else.
Some people only give a shit when Trump breaks the law...

I can understand why you're embarrassed about the question you asked as you are unable to articulate why your "gotcha!" is relevant.

What did I deflect? I also addressed your rock solid accusation, and even agreed that if he is guilty he should be held accountable. Miss me with you buzz words.

I just asked a question…why are you so upset that I asked a resident of the state of Georgia a question about residents of that state of Georgia being on the hook for millions of dollars?

I also just asked a question. Why are you flailing around to not elaborate on the relevance of your question?
i yield the remainder of the thread to talk about anything other than Trump indictments.
No threads ever address multiple things!
sure, it's ok to talk about other similar situations. But it seems like the effort you presented was to instead talk about other things. "ok now doing everyone else".
As bearcat noted "unspecific crimes by unspecified politicians". You're asking other people to do the deflecting and think about other people instead of you thinking of a relevant case to establish a discussion.
Lol. Again, I addressed Trump and have made my thoughts known about my stance on him.
i yield the remainder of the thread to talk about anything other than Trump indictments.
Oh, they talked about it. They said what he was indicted for wasn't a big deal and this is selective prosecution. Then when a big deal was brought up, there was some agreement that he should be held accountable, but still - "what about everyone else?" And if you're not talking about "everyone else" being held accountable for (unspecified) crimes in a thread about Trump being indicted - you're biased! Lol
