Doing no fast travel in this game is a trip. Currently stuck in the desert with no cold food after being stuck in the depths lmao
Highly recommend to not warp all over the place, you get into so many more shenanigans.
Have you done anything crazy to the Korok with the backpack yet?

I attached 2 shitty boxes with the korok on the bottom and dragged it with my horse lol. I bet you can attach rockets and shit and send em to space
There's already been videos out of people doing exactly that.

Still playing jedi survivor in my free time. Does Tears live up to the hype?
Absolutely. If you like creativity, it's insane what you can build or fuse if you put your mind to it. Even if you don't like creativity, it's still a wide open game with even more to explore than BOTW. It feels like the main map has shrunk a little bit (maybe that's just me) and it is definitely not the same Hyrule, then you get the Sky Islands and the underground chasms to explore.
I have like 15 hours of gameplay into it and I haven't even begun to progress through the main storyline other than getting the main quests started and getting through the new shrines.

This game is so fucking goddamn insane. The sheer amount of shit they managed to fit into one game. Basically 3 times the stuff of BOTW if not more.
This is one of those very rare games that actually more than exceeds the hype. It has basically combined everything we love about Zelda and put it into BOTW.
This is the game of the decade, if not the millennium. Holy mother of god. There are no faults that drag it down. There are slight nitpicks, but nothing that gets in the way of enjoying this game to its full intent.
Bravo Nintendo. Just fucking Bravo.

The dungeon i did was pretty good, not quite a classic zelda dungeon but sort of a mix between a divine beast and a regular dungeon. The boss was fucking awesome though. Story seems more substantial and more involved as well which is a welcome change.
I do think the shrines are lacking in the same way BOTW shrines did. Only a few genuinely hard to figure out, too many tutorial dungeons, a lot of repeats like bring the crystal to the thing, and a lot of shrines with just 2 or 3 rooms. In a way when the game puts you in a box with limited materials it takes away the best part of the game. You can still be creative and cheese basically every shrine by making your own fun but its more limited in shrines. I want some genuinely hard to figure out stuff that doesnt end after 2 minutes ya know? Make me combine my powers in a way that blows my mind.
The shrines are not the meat though, the open worlds and the exploration is the meat. I wouldnt say there are no complaints. Shrines, too much menuing, no changes or tweaks to the battle animations (same 3 animations for the same 3 weapon types), no unique weapons with different move sets, and no classic items.
They did improve on pretty much everything except maybe the shrines but i do miss Stasis. I wish we still had that power lol. It is still missing a lot of Zelda-ness i look for but its still gonna be one of the best games ever.

I miss stasis only for the ability to highlight hidden enemies or items. Ultrahand covers the hidden items a little, but I never really used it too often other for revealing purposes. I more miss Revali's Gale.

I miss having unlimited bombs…
Yea, that's an underrated loss right there. Having to go underground or find bomb flowers on the surface is a pain.

I think stasis allowed for a lot of chaos and shenanigans in shrines, wacking stuff and getting it to where it shouldnt was a ton of fun. But as you can see in this video recall is OP as hell and can basically cheese every shrine ever lmao
This is how i go about shrines, i spent 50 mins in here having a great time doing dumb shit when i could have just finished it in 90 seconds probably doing it the intended way. I think its great that way but i also want a challenge i dont impose on myself sometimes too. Either way it was fun and i edited it down to like 10 mins if youre interested in the most convoluted way to prob beat this specific shrine

theres definitely too many rock walls that take waaaay too many hits lol. Ive been using the zonai time bombs to blow them up since i dont want to use the bomb flowers or take 8 million years breaking rock fused weapons against them.
Just beat the Fire Temple. Holy shit, these bosses have been jacked up in difficulty. Looks like they are taking old bosses from different games and upgrading them, which is cool as fuck. Marbled Gohma was the boss, which is the same name (just Gohma) as the boss from the Wind Waker.

This game is so good! It's giving me Skyrim vibes in the sense the game is much more about playing in the sandbox than progressing quest lines and finishing the main story. Between this and Elden Ring hopefully other companies will learn how to make better open world games.
