Of course. I remember living near downtown 10-15 years ago and going to games all the time, it was even to the point where you got two tickets just for checking out 10 books at the library, lol. Now even the nosebleed seats are an issue. Parking is like $80. It’s a really fun scene down there though, well worth it.
I take the Trolley when I go, which has been many years. I saw some tickets for sale today online for $120 each, is that for real? How much are your seats cmart?
Not sure. My wife’s friend from college is in town for Spring Break and offered to take us to a game. The seats are the worst nosebleeds, but I’ll never turn down a free ticket. My son turns 11 in July and the only thing he wants is for me to take him and 3 of his buddies to a Padres game, so I’m already preparing to fork out the $$$ for decent seats on that one.
Every team in the AL East is above .500 including the struggling Red Sox (last place).
Orioles at 14-7 are in SECOND PLACE! When did that happen?
Sox could have swept Brewers but Manager Cora butchered the handling of the pitching staff in Saturday night's loss. Brewers manager Consell took Cora to school.
One of the most boneheaded plays I have seen in a long time. Brewers up 1, 6th inning I think. Sox has just scored 2 runs to close to gap to 3-2.
Leadoff hitter gets aboard. On an attempted steal of 2B the Red Sox CF, Kiki Hernandez rushes in from CF to backup the throw. Instead, Yellich drills a ball over Hernandez's head for a double. If Hernandez stayed in position Yellich's fly ball would have been an out.
In what FUCKING UNIVERSE do you trade the possibility of a double and runners on 2B and 3B with none out for THE CHANCE to backup a throw to 2B?
What the FUCK? My Little League teams weren't this stupid. The CF MUST BE CERTAIN that a throw is being made before he breaks in to back up the play. It's not like the CF needs to cover the bag on a steal. JESUS CHRIST I CAN'T BELIEVE how pissed I am.
Then, Cora lets the starter Whitlock go too long. 70 pitches and only 7 pitches have resulted in no contact. Then Brewers score (now 4-2), Cora leaves Whitlock in to load the bases with NONE OUT. Then, Cora flips it over to a reliever who manages to get out of the inning while yielding only one more run on a 2B. Brewers now lead 5-2
In the next half inning, Consul lifts his starter at the first sign of shakiness.
Brewers win 5-4.
Fuck Alex Cora. Fuck Kiki Hernandez (I am really starting to hate this guy).
This should have been a 4-3 Red Sox win and a sweep of the Brew Crew

Don't look now, but the Pirates have won 7 straight and have swept two straight series. Thanks to the Red Sox beating the Brewers, they are now in sole possession of 1st place in the NL Central and 1st place in the National League as well!
Too bad the laws of averages will bring this team back down to reality in the coming months. This start has been fun though.

Pirates sign Bryan Reynolds to an 8 year, $106.75 million extension with a limited no trade clause. FINALLY.

Cora and Carlos Beltran (Yankees) were the originators, instigators, and managers of the Astros pitch stealing scandal.
Jarren Duran Red Sox CF is focused on playing baseball (3rd call up) and hammering the ball while playing great defense. We need him! If he regresses into the melon-head he has been on previous call-ups, well sorry bud, you pissed millions of future dollars down the drain.
Duran hit a grand-slam tonight in his first HR of the year.
Did anyone see the Padre/Gigantics game in Mexico City today? Sundays game is must see TV. No way MLB can put a team there. The altitude is 2100 feet above sea level more than Denver. I think there were six or seven home runs. Back to back homers three times. Never seen anything like it. It was fun but boy would that polute the record books to play there. I don't know how they breath.
It's a party down there and a game just happen to break out. It was actually really entertaining. I just hope the Padres don't get in trouble for wearing a sombraro after each homer.
Mexico City went all out. They had little statues of the players outside the stadium. They looked like poorly made piñatas. Funny as hell. You should see Juan Soto and HaSane Kim. OMG

Will watch tonight!!!
I had lost track of all the hits. There was 11 home runs, 30 hits. and 27 runs. Back to back homers four times.

First batter for the San Fransico Gigantes hit a home run off Yu Darvish. They say its a little more humid today but still at 7368 ft elevation the ball flies and the pitches don't move as well. The pitchers hate it and the batters love it. I'm sure the purist fans don't like it. I don't really like it either because poof guys like Musgrove's era took a huge hit. But I'll enjoy it for these two days.

Soto finally playing well. He’s raised his average to above the Mendoza line so at least that’s a start. It’s pretty doubtful that they give him a big contract imo, for some reason he’s just not a good fit in SD.
This game isn’t in my market. Damn. Bruins are getting croaked. I need something else to watch
It's over. Pads won 6-4. Only 4 HR's today. There were a lot of miss played balls though because the ball moves around in the air more (slight wind and less resistance) and the surface is rock hard with fake grass and the ball bounces really high.

Even though they lost today, they won the series against the Nationals after outscoring them 21-11. The Pirates still have the best record in the National League.
Will this keep up? No, this kind of success is unsustainable for the Pirates at this point. They still do have a realistic chance of at least getting into a Wild Card spot, which would be a massive overachievement against their expectations for this year (and even what they were expected to be next year).
Derek Shelton is your manager of the year so far for what he has done with the peanut-laden roster this year.
