Accepting lavish gifts (vacations paid for) by a republican mega donor. By far the most of any justice. But they're smart enough to bend the law. An example is the same year they met is the same year he gave a Tea Party group founded by his wife $500,000... which see received a $120,000 salary for.
IN LATE JUNE 2019, right after the U.S. Supreme Court released its final opinion of the term, Justice Clarence Thomas boarded a large private jet headed to Indonesia. He and his wife were going on vacation: nine days of island-hopping in a volcanic archipelago on a superyacht staffed by a coterie of attendants and a private chef.
If Thomas had chartered the plane and the 162-foot yacht himself, the total cost of the trip could have exceeded $500,000. Fortunately for him, that wasn’t necessary: He was on vacation with real estate magnate and Republican megadonor Harlan Crow, who owned the jet — and the yacht, too.
...
Crow met Thomas after he became a justice. The pair have become genuine friends, according to people who know both men. Over the years, some details of Crow’s relationship with the Thomases have emerged. In 2011, The New York Times reported on Crow’s generosity toward the justice. That same year, Politico revealed that Crow had given half a million dollars to a Tea Party group founded by Ginni Thomas, which also paid her a $120,000 salary. But the full scale of Crow’s benefactions has never been revealed.
Turns out it is bad to use your status as a high ranking official to line the pockets of family members who don't deserve the money they're receiving.
Well it's shocking in that he claims he doesn't like lavish stuff based on some interview he did recently. And shocking in that there is always someone who will be at the top in terms of receiving gifts, and that the highest amount is him/current individual.
I think the bad part is just not disclosing it. I know everyone uses their position in power to help family members, I don't think there is a way around that in any societal structure that has been implemented... maybe if we had robot overlords.
Hey, I didn't make the rules. I just play by them. I would love to go back to the day when actions were judged, but that isn't allowed. Witness how instantly the Bragg/Soros entwinement was attacked as anti-Semitism.
For the left, every issue is racism. If that bothers you, in the least, lead a movement to end it. Everyone will be the better for it.
Until then, everyone will have to play the cards from the same deck. There's no way to have two different sets of rules.

You could choose to be one of the middle 70% that isn't mostly interested in spreading negativity and disinformation and would rather consider issues separately and honestly. You like to blame the left but you are making the choice to be a dishonest, lying asshole. The asshole comment is based on your behavior and not your political beliefs.

Is Bragg going on Soros’s yacht and getting his vacations paid by him?
Stop defending this obvious shit; you only care about winning, you never self reflect, ever.

Yes, I could. That only green lights and allows shitty one-way political politics to gain momentum. You can fight for that if that pleases you or you can fight to end it. I made my choice.

By only crying when one side plays by the rules created by the other side you reveal your self to be a meaningless partisan who has nothing (zero/zip/nada) of value to contribute. Zippo.
The asshole comment is based on your behavior and not your political beliefs.
I don't know where we are here. What is your position? Are you upset at dishonest, pathetic, insidious racist tactics, or are you just upset that I followed the rules? Have I missed you calling out the others who play this game? I don't mind being an asshole. I do mind different rules.

Interesting. You admit to not wanting to consider issues separately and honestly and are declaring that you only want to spread negativity and disinformation.
Justice Thomas receives bribes and becomes a "dear friend" with a billionaire conservative donor after he lands on the supreme court. Goes on vacation with him on yachts, donor provides his wife with a salary to push her conservative pacs, funds conservative movements that go to the supreme court.
Tinley's first attempt at deflection - other billionaires have funded campaigns! Second attempt - the woke suck!
