Nope- try again. Perhaps if you are going to try and make that "Profound point" you should learn about the laws.
I’m don’t want to play 20 questions. If conceal carry doesn’t allow someone to carry a loaded gun into Wal Mart and a night club and a youth sporting event and a town fair, etc. what does it permit?

Private business are allowed to restrict open firearms being brought onto premises. They literally have a sign as you walk in.
Bars, clubs usually have signs barring all weapons on premises. In big cities, clubs do pat downs.

So am I correct in assuming you can conceal carry anywhere that is not explicitly prohibited?
TSA: You may transport unloaded firearms in a locked hard-sided container as checked baggage only. Declare the firearm and/or ammunition to the airline when checking your bag at the ticket counter. The container must completely secure the firearm from being accessed. Locked cases that can be easily opened are not permitted.
That’s good to know.
How about loaded weapons? I know an air Marshall can possess one but what about you and I
You know I like you, but hopefully this is a joke. A firearm can take down the entire plane. I'd stop flying if any nutjob can have one in a carry-on.

Not a joke. What’s the difference between taking down a plane and blowing a whole bunch of people away at a supermarket?
With over 350 million in the U.S. 20 or 200 is not such a big difference
Funny how there are some places that restrict guns to keep people safe.
A bit of a reversal from the beliefs of gun owners and an observation some gun owners want to dance around because they know the best was to keep people safe if keeping people safe were the top goal

The daily reminder that the most fervent active gun control supporters know the least about the issue.....
Read what I posted. It says UNLOADED firearms.....
Hmm. I wonder why there are different rules for flying than for every day life
You are so close yet so far away from understanding the issue. You could figure this out if you simply freed your mind.
There are different rules because there are different situations. Planes can and need to prohibit active guns because the response time to an active situation can be often quite long. What may come as an additional surprise (shock?) is they prohibit all weapons. Yep, even those that might be a weapon. Box cutters, normal size toothpaste, ignition devices...Again, the response time is not the best at 30,000 feet. As it turns out, guns are a tool for the evil. Take the gun and they simple pick (choose) a different tool. The goal isn't to use a gun, the goal is to cause harm. There's only so many backpack pressure cookers that can be declared completely safe.
Once all the guns are gone, the quest moves on to the next tool. Already the UK is addressing the volume of deaths caused by blades by banning the next tool on the list.
Tool after tool. And the culture of death, like pushing water uphill, remains ever persistent..

You believe your own bullshit.
The situations are the same. People could die if guns are in circulation.
In the caes of air travel, the government wants to be absolutely sure that no one blows a hole in a plane and/or kills densely clustered people.
How does the government raise the odds of safety? By eliminating the presence of guns.
This is the EXISTENCE PROOF of the correct solution to gun violence
Get your mind wrapped around that fact.
The same solution would work on the ground, if not for the NRA
Hmm. I wonder why there are different rules for flying than for every day life
You aren't making a profound point. There are lots of airplane specific rules that differ from everyday rules. I can walk around town with a knife but can't carry it onto a plane. I can walk around town with a liter water bottle, but can't carry it on a plane.....
Don't give the gun nuts and the politicians who exploit them any ideas. They already allow carrying guns on public college campuses in Georgia. Guess where my kids aren't going to school...
snerb Where are we going, and why am I in a hand basket?
But, he indirectly, and undoubtedly unintentionally, makes a good observation.
Like many businesses, campuses, etc. there are strict rules regarding carrying weapons onto airplanes. So what's different? The difference is they're enforced. Here enforced through metal detection, screening and body scans.
I can't carry a seemingly harmless jackknife into an airplane but Johnny Shooter can walk into an elementary school with a loaded firearm... Why?! How?!

Shooting holes in an airliner will have barely an effect unless it were to strike something like a hydraulic line. I guess we could ban crowds, but that seems impractical. Limit bus stops to no more than two(2)?

Lots of things can raise the odds of living- eliminating sugar, abortion, automobiles, public water...As is a fact of life, there is always consequences.
This is the EXISTENCE PROOF of the correct solution to gun violence
Now you are making your true point- you don't like guns so everyone needs make you happy by satisfying your wishes. This isn't the best country for that (for now).

The schools are at fault for not deploying metal detectors. Everywhere we go, we need metal detectors?
How about just get rid of the metal? That was easy
Probably one of the most misunderstood and abused language in the consititution.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Because the right to bear Arms is coupled, within the same sentence, to a well regulated Militia, it carries a very strict definition. The right to bear arms applies to those within a well regulated militia.
That is obviously not what is going on here and thousands of people die every year as a result of the abuse of the constitution.

Why? They don't want to be safe?
Excellent observation. Anywhere people want to be truly safe, they ban guns.
