One of my nurse's aides is a student who interviewed me for a class last semester.
No, she hasn't seen my dick...not yet 😎
Nurses do the hard work (My wife is a nurse).
My mother had a triple bypass at 87. The heart surgeon assured me she would do fine (how is that possible?).
Shortly after she came out of surgery and was "stable" I was allowed into the ICU room.
I sat with her for several hours. During that time I watched the nurse constantly reading vitals of all kinds and adjusting medication. This wasn't a one-time event, it was continuous!!
While it was the surgeon that performed the triple bypass, it was the nurse who saved my mother's life.
She lived another five years. At 87, that's a good investment.

Nurses are exemplary no doubt. Most people in the medical profession are in the grinder these days though. Nurse’s aides through doctors. Too few and patients too many. We boomers are a large part of the problem. Way too many of us with medical issues and not dying off fast enough.
Congrats on beating up the bully (alcohol) and I’m super happy to hear that your surgery went well. You’re one of the best of us, we’re here for you bro!
