I'm not much of a Metal expert, but Sweet Child O' Mine just doesn't strike me as a Metal song and should be replaced by Ozzy Osbourne's War Pigs.......If that's a Metal song
Hey, Wang! What's with the pictures....it's a parking lot!
*in country twang* I dunno....I'm a fast cook, I guess
holy shit, a bike!.....you're six........holy crap, a bike!......you're six.........ga ga goo goo, bikey!.......too far back
For how much i love metal...its funny how little interest i have in those iconic bands i sort of term Stoner Metal. Pantera/Metallica and Megadeth are the only ones i routinely listen to or listened to on that list. I have always though No More Tears was better than Crazy Train. But all forms of Ozzy never interested me. Black Sabbath as well.
Nu/Melodic/Groove is the Metal genre im obsessed with.

I’m a huge metal guy, always have been. Lately I’ve been into Amon Amarth, you talked about them a while ago if I remember correctly…

Simply my favorite metal band of all time. Lamb Of God and In Flames are also in my top 3 probably. Amon has been doing this for years. Even their newest stuff blows my mind. They just never stopped evolving. Even Metallica has made it look difficult at times with some brutal albums. Amon is consistently amazing for years now.
This latest album is so good. But this song is how i start every workout or run these days.

You like Gojira? Saw them recently with Mastodon and Lorna Shore. Killer show!

List sucks BigTime.
I was big into metal in the late 70's early 80's. It's a tough category to identify. Metal bands who reach out into other genres, non-metal bands giving metal a try. Most people frame the category to their tastes. I tend to lose interest in the 80's on hair metal, death metal, shred metal, noise metal, rust metal, plastic metal.....
@ #1 is Iron Man. Things get subjective after that.
A top 15 with Judas Priest and Iron Maiden (not even their best stuff) and no Scorpions is completely unserious.

was never big into Mastadon, love Gojira, best thing ever from France. Lorna Shore is growing on me - more into the instrumental side of them
I really like Lorna Shore. They’re new stuff is really good. Have you heard anything from the band, Frozen Soul? They’re new. I like the stuff I’ve heard so far.

yeah, they play it on liquid metal a lot. Will Ramos had a camera put down his throat to show what it was doing a while ago. He seems like a bit of a spazz. Her channel does some cool breakdowns and interviews with singers

"Too often, we enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought." - JFK
"First Thoughts are the everyday thoughts. Everyone has those. Second Thoughts are the thoughts you think about the way you think. People who enjoy thinking have those. Third Thoughts are thoughts that watch the world and think all by themselves. They’re rare, and often troublesome."

Iron Man is definitely up there. But where's the Tool?!? Their lyrics probably (since I'm not well-versed in heavy metal) separates them from most of the pack...
He had a lot to say He had a lot of nothing to say We'll miss him We'll miss him He had a lot to say He had a lot of nothing to say We'll miss him We'll miss him We're gonna miss him We're gonna miss him So long We wish you well You told us how you weren't afraid to die Well, so long Don't cry Or feel too down Not all martyrs see divinity But at least you tried Standing above the crowd He had a voice that was strong and loud We'll miss him We'll miss him Ranting and pointing his finger At everything but his heart We'll miss him We'll miss him We're gonna miss him We're gonna miss him No way to recall What it was that you had said to me? Like I care at all But it was so loud You sure could yell You took a stand on every little thing And so loud You could be the one who saves me from my own existence Warn while some child might chill, nine-one-two I'm too smart when you're invisible by the bone symbol on you So he bashes his skull through the window while looking out to the sea Like torment of my ego And we're amused by this Yeah, standing above the crowd He had a voice that was strong and loud and I Swallowed his facade 'cause I'm so Eager to identify with Someone above the ground Someone who seemed to feel the same Someone prepared to lead the way And someone who would die for me Will you? Will you now? Would you die for me? Don't you fuckin' lie Don't you step out of line Don't you step out of line Don't you step out of line Don't you fuckin' lie You've claimed all this time that you would die for me Why then are you so surprised when you hear your own eulogy? He had a lot to say He had a lot of nothing to say He had a lot to say He had a lot of nothing to say Come down Get off your fucking cross We need the fuckinh space to nail the next fool martyr To ascend you must die You must be crucified For our sins and our lies Goodbye
