As an Astros fan, that is certainly a current top level rivalry. What makes it all the better (bettor?) is the cheating angle. The Yanks have long been one of the cheatingest teams in baseball. The Two Astros central to the sign cheating brought the scheme from the Yankees and Red Sox. Guess where Cora and Beltran are currently?

And how's the Yanks pitching staff these days?

Yep, nailed it. Of course there is many more teams in CFB making more rivalries a certainty, but the fight goes deeper. It reaches state and regional, family history, childhood friends that go different ways.... Pittsburgh/Cleveland will never reach the Ohio St/Michigan hate-fest. Auburn/Alabama are still hating and fighting over recruiting a LB out of Opalika. The coming Texas/Texas A&M game will be off the charts brutal...

Yeah, it's hard for any pro teams to reach the level of rivalry that college sports has. Auburn/Alabama, OSU/Michigan, OU/Texas, Army/Navy, Duke/UNC (basketball), among many others, all have a passion behind them (even if they haven't been competitive lately) that have spanned decades that pro teams rarely, if ever, reach and certainly don't sustain for the lengths of time as the college rivalries.

UW has had some studs at running back....but none really have gone gang busters in the NFL. Proof positive that the O-line in WI is phenomenal.
