He will officially announce today, but can he beat Trump assuming Trumps legal woes don’t completely derail his campaign. We all know he wants to be like Trump, so why would people vote for him when they can vote the real thing? Will he have the huevos to attack Trump head on, which is what it will take to differentiate himself?
why would people vote for him when they can vote the real thing?
Several reasons-
1. Age. I think we have clear evidence that age can definately impair a politician.
2. Accomplishments. DiSantis clearly outperformed Trump with the covid response in a sweep. Trump not only failed to fire Fauci, he accepted every failed recommendation Fauci pushed, DiSantis was the model for covid response. Trump not only failed to drain the swamp, it has emerged bigger and stronger than ever, DiSantis has done a strong job of getting that shit out of Florida,
3. Political infrastructure Trump as an outsider struggled to find competent experienced staff. The left made it a strategy to oppose each choice up to and including destroying future work possibilities. That left the Trump choices too often inexperienced. DiSantis already has an experienced political network to draw from.
4. Demeanor. Trump is an undisciplined hot-head who should act more presidential. DiSantis reeks of professionalism.
Will he have the huevos to attack Trump head on, which is what it will take to differentiate himself?
You contradict yourself. We don't know what it will take to win. We don't even know if one of the dem political hits can take Trump out. We do know that DiSantis has scored win after win without attacking his political opponents.
Can DiSantis win? Yes Will he win? Too soon to say Should he win? Yes Are there other factors yet to play? Of course Would either be a huge improvement over the current admin? Obviously
I think the big question is if he does beat Trump can he win the presidency when Trump will most likely run as a third party.
I hope he beats Trump in the primary. That would 100% guarantee that neither would win the presidency.
"Too often, we enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought." - JFK
"First Thoughts are the everyday thoughts. Everyone has those. Second Thoughts are the thoughts you think about the way you think. People who enjoy thinking have those. Third Thoughts are thoughts that watch the world and think all by themselves. They’re rare, and often troublesome."

Dude is an uniformed troll. He's a bit upset about Mittens, hasn't gotten over that fiasco.
Trump will absolutely shit on desantis. Desantis has no personality and his leadership is dogshit.
Man, the absolute hate for a guy that graduated Yale, Harvard Law and became a Jag all at an age much, much younger than you becoming an assistant to an assistant is awesome. You are such a complete fuck up, lol.

Meh. This is pro sports rivals, where somebody else, who got their undergrad at Yale, graduated Harvard Law magna cum laude, worked private practice, and is a tenured law professor is claimed to be 'literally one of the stupidest people on the entire planet'.
Here was Trump's response on Truth Social after DeSantis finished his campaign launch:
“Rob,” My Red Button is bigger, better, stronger, and is working (TRUTH!), yours does not! (per my conversation with Kim Jung Un, of North Korea, soon to become my friend!)”
